Lightspeed Delta Zulu and Android cockpit recording

Bluetooth: being verified

Lightspeed's iOS app records the Delta Zulu over Bluetooth and lets you choose “Cabin only” or “Cabin and ATC”. That choice suggests the app sends a command to the headset rather than relying on a switch, so it is not yet clear whether the Delta Zulu mixes the intercom into the Bluetooth call channel on its own.

Help verify it

If you own a Delta Zulu and an Android phone: install TowerOwl, run Settings › Headset test with the headset on an intercom with audible traffic or ATIS, and send the result. If it works out of the box, this page will say so within days.

Meanwhile

Wired input (Pro) works with any headset through a headset recorder adapter (GA dual plug in, 3.5 mm TRRS out) and a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter with microphone support.

Tested it yourself?

Run the headset test in TowerOwl (Settings › Headset test) and send the result. Every report improves this page.
